Turning Articles Into Conversations

Roundtable Series

Thelemata launched the Roundtable Series for Project Inspired, transforming a one-way editorial platform into an active community dialogue.

Contributor essay reached 80,000 new readers via Eve’s Crown Magazine syndication. Contributors brought 300,000+ combined social followers. Platform engagement deepened measurably on dating and friendship topics. Project Inspired returned for additional featured content years after the initial campaign.

THE CLIENT

Project Inspired was launched in 2011 by former model and actress Nicole Weider to give Christian young women a positive alternative to the media culture around them. The platform became one of the first large-scale digital communities tailored to this audience — covering faith, self-image, relationships, and everyday life. By the time Thelemata engaged, Project Inspired had built a loyal readership, a national following, and a reputation as a trusted voice in the Christian women’s media space.

THE CHALLENGE

The platform had a strong foundation, but content was driving passive readership — not active participation. Project Inspired wanted to attract new readers from across the Christian landscape, deepen engagement on sensitive topics (modesty, dating, friendships), and build a reputation as the space where important conversations happened, not just where opinions were delivered. The challenge: spark honest dialogue on topics that required care, without losing the trust that made the audience show up in the first place.

THE STRATEGY

Thelemata created the Roundtable Series — a monthly editorial initiative that brought credible external voices into direct conversation with Project Inspired’s audience. The strategy accomplished two things simultaneously: it extended reach by recruiting contributors with their own audiences, and it created genuine dialogue by having those contributors engage with readers in the comment sections after publication. Each Roundtable was supported with shareable promotional content contributors could distribute to their own followers, turning every piece into an audience acquisition event.

EXECUTION

Identified and recruited influential Christian voices across pastoral, activist, author, and cultural verticals

Developed monthly Roundtable topics calibrated to Project Inspired’s audience — modesty, dating, friendships, faith, self-image

Recruited Jarrid Wilson (pastor, bestselling author of Love is Oxygen, 300,000+ social followers) for relationships and faith topics

Recruited Tara Teng (activist, former Miss Canada and Miss World Canada) for credibility on modesty and self-image

Recruited Kimberly Hall (author of the viral essay “FYI: If You’re a Teenage Girl”), tapping into an active national cultural conversation

Recruited Ciona Rouse (poet and author) — whose Roundtable essay on dating was later republished externally, reaching additional readers

Recruited Jeevo (Christian rapper) for accessible, relatable content for younger readers

Produced a promotional video and coordinated social pushes for each Roundtable installment

Managed active comment moderation to sustain authentic reader dialogue and ongoing participation

RESULTS

300K+ combined contributor social followers. 80K new readers via Eve’s Crown Magazine syndication. Measurably increased engagement on dating & friendship topics. Repeat client relationship — years later.

Content syndication — including exposure through Jesus Freak Hideout — expanded Project Inspired’s footprint as a trusted cultural voice for Christian young women. The collaboration generated long-term trust: Project Inspired returned to Thelemata for additional featured content years after the initial campaign.

THE TAKEAWAY

Project Inspired didn’t need more content. It needed content that started conversations worth having. Thelemata built an editorial structure that recruited credibility, distributed reach, and turned passive readers into active participants. The Roundtable Series proves that the right contributor strategy is also a community-building strategy — and that editorial relationships built carefully compound over time.
